Elecosoft releases Arcon Evo – the complete CAD solution for architects and building professionals

Elecosoft is pleased to announce the release of Arcon Evo, the next generation of its market leading architectural visualisation software, dedicated to architects, building professionals, developers and designers.

Arcon Evo is a powerful new CAD package suitable for all aspects of building design. The extensive range of construction design tools allows the user to quickly produce architectural plans together with client friendly visualisations. The new software development follows the success of its market leading architectural visualisation software, Arcon Visual Architect.

“Arcon Evo software offers significant new updates for designing exteriors and interiors of buildings,” comments Arcon product manager for UK, Tim Bates “With a modern user interface, multi-functional toolset, advanced editing capabilities, greater customisation options and powerful new engine, detailed plans, elevations and sections can be rapidly drawn on screen and viewed in a fully interactive 3D environment.”

Tim adds “The strength in our new CAD software is its ability to make it as easy as possible for architects and designers to communicate their design ideas to the client and anyone else involved in the building project, so that everyone is clear about what is being proposed thus avoiding costly mistakes along the way.”

Some of the key enhancements in Arcon Evo incude:

 

  • Powerful and extensive toolset for creating 2D floor plans, elevations, section details
  • Produce construction sets using additional CAD tools. Building regulation information available
  • Includes Trimble’s 3D Warehouse interface for adding other furnishing items directly to your design
  • Advanced dialogue box for layering walls and wrapping cavity detail
  • Advanced timber construction display in walls, floors, roof structure
  • Fully interactive graphics in dialogue boxes for modifying individual component parts
  • Allow for different thicknesses at the start and end of walls
  • Import/export options including DXF, DWG, IFC, STL, DAE, KMZ, 3DS
  • 3D textures and bump-mapping capabilities resulting in more realistic visualizations
  • Advanced editors including variable stair constructions, roof and dormer styles
  • Architectural elevation viewer allows you to examine all sides of building quickly and easily
  • Add individual material areas to walls
  • Create complex multi-roof structures using blending tool
  • Automatically convert detailed floor plans to interactive 3D models, elevations and section views
  • Live real-time rendering with lighting, shadows and reflections for client presentation
  • In 2D and 3D modes, use in-line measurements for making direct changes to selected elements
  • New symbols library with extensive range of detail drawings for adding to plan
  • Extensive range of window and door types including bi-folding. Extend your library with advanced designer
