Housebuilders & Developers: Stay ahead of Reg 40, Uplifted Part L legislation
As part of the roadmap to the 2025 Future Homes Standard, since the 15th June 2022, housebuilders and developers in England and Wales are now required to provide qualitative photographic evidence that demonstrates new homes produce 31% less CO2 emissions compared to previous requirements.
As a leading construction management software provider and CDE, Zutec has been working with customers to build an out-of-the-box solution that seamlessly integrates into existing site quality management programmes, enabling geo-referenced photos to be captured from any device on site with or without a data connection.
Zutec provides functionality for those photos to be:
- Tagged with geo-location
- Time-stamped
- Complemented with supporting documentation
- Stored centrally within the Zutec platform
- Traced back to a location and property
- Easily shared with team members, inspectors or assessors during the build stage
The SAP assessor can receive and review the evidence as it is created within the Zutec platform, so it can be approved or sent back with feedback. Therefore, if work is not up to standard it can be remediated before the build completes – speeding up the completion process.
This simple and easy to use solution is already being used by leading housebuilders and can be up and running in days. It is also completely configurable so provides an efficient and effective way to evidence compliance to this and other upcoming building regulations—providing a single source of truth so that housebuilders can demonstrate they are using the most efficient products and materials to build energy-efficient homes.
