MAPEI ACADEMY IS OPEN!

Mapei’s brand-new purpose-built training facility, which opened its doors in January, cements Mapei’s commitment to providing ongoing support to its customers and construction professionals through practical and theoretical courses across many product lines and specialisms.

Mapei Academy is located opposite the UK Headquarters in Halesowen, West Midlands and is positioned in Mapei’s latest acquired premises, Midland House. It shares the premises with Mapei’s technical services and marketing departments. The training centre comprises a 31-seater ‘stadium’ auditorium to house presentations and demonstrations. A number of dedicated bays are provided for hands-on experience of Mapei wall and floor systems – including those for installing ceramic and stone finishes, resilient and wood flooring, industrial flooring, industrial waterproofing, and building products including concrete repair. A mock house structure is also included for the practical demonstration of EWI and Coatings.

Mapei has announced set training dates for 2019 for tiling, flooring and EWI courses, hosted by experienced training managers Chris Myatt, Adrian Jennings, Adrian Jones and Neal Perryman. They also welcome bookings from distributors, contractors, designers and engineers for training tailored to their specific needs. Meeting room facilities are also available.

All training delegates receive presentation notes, refreshments, a buffet lunch, a factory tour and a Mapei Academy rucksack filled with goodies.

The training facility’s sports theme demonstrates synergy with the importance of coaching, dedication and commitment to performance. Mapei has always had strong links to global sport, particularly cycling and football, and are owners of the Italian Football Club U.S. Sassuolo Calcio based at the Mapei Stadium, Italy. In the UK Mapei sponsors local football team Halesowen Town F.C. and boxer Craig Morris.

For dates and availability of scheduled Mapei courses or to arrange your own company experience at Mapei Academy please contact ukmarketing@mapei.co.uk or call 0121 508 6970 for further information.
