A natural way to cool and shade interiors

In recent years, we have seen an increasing trend towards outdoor living design with the rise of big bi-fold doors and large expanses of glass, which allow the user to open up their interior and let the sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors into their interior. However, large glass features like these can cause interiors to heat up very quickly during the day and having the doors open all the time is often not practical as it leaves your interior open to insects, leaves and other garden debris.

Phantom Screens offer a range of retractable screens designed to combat this problem and help keep interiors naturally cool. Our screens can be fitted with a variety of meshes and fabrics which allow fresh air to pass through whilst blocking UV rays and protecting against pests. This means the screens can be used to prevent heat build during the day and ventilate your interior when the window or door is open.

Our super fine mesh is practically invisible even when in use so you can still enjoy the view to the outside. We offer a range of meshes providing 55-80% UV block and we also offer blackout fabrics in various colours and styles which are perfect for bedrooms, dark rooms and home cinemas. The cassette holds the mesh or fabric securely in place so there are no gaps around the edges where light or insects can squeeze through.

Ideal for both domestic and commercial use, our Legacy and Serene screens are suitable for most doors and windows and our Distinction screens are perfect for larger openings, including bi-fold doors. We also offer Executive power screens which are ideal for large expanses of glass as they can be fitted internally or externally to prevent heat gain and can be deployed at the touch of a button. Our Executive power screens can be linked to UV and wind sensors or building management systems to automatically deploy according to the conditions outside making it even easier to naturally control your interior temperature.

We also frequently see customers using our Executive power screens to screen outdoors areas like patios or verandas. In doing so, they are able to create outdoor spaces that are protected from UV rays, insects and even light showers – perfect for al fresco dining or entertaining. Screens used on outdoor areas can also be used to keep in warmth from patio heaters meaning the outdoor space can still be used even when temperatures start to drop.

Phantom Screens can be finished in any RAL colour plus a range of wood grains to perfectly complement your existing décor. This, combined with the retractable design, means they are practically invisible when not in use, creating a seamless transition from indoors to out.
