Sherwood Painted Shaker Kitchen by Daval, from Raycross Interiors

Leading British furniture designer and maker, Daval celebrate one of its appointed UK design studios, Raycross Interiors, as it designs this skylit shaker-style open plan kitchen diner for a countryside home in West Byfleet, Surrey: Mr & Mrs N, West Byfleet Kitchen

Epitomising country-chic styling, this classic furniture project depicts the authentic Sherwood Kitchen Furniture Collection by Daval. Recommended by Raycross Interiors, Sherwood is a sophisticated and timeless furniture collection that embraces all of the idiosyncrasies, knots, cross fires and beautiful grain of natural wood.

Designed with classic shaker style doors, Sherwood by Daval is seen here hand painted in Cashmere, with each door featuring an inside chamfer detail that not only defines the shape, but also accentuates the painted timber by capturing varying light and shade. Similarly, the painted cashmere when paired against the 30mm Blanco Maple Quartz work surfaces impresses a crisp, neutral aesthetic throughout the kitchen which is softened by the timber effect porcelain floor tiles. This neutral flooring was not reserved for only the kitchen, as it actually spans the open plan kitchen diner as well as the hallway, cloakroom and living areas for a truly holistic look and feel.

The kitchen was designed to create a highly ergonomic open-plan kitchen diner that is both functional and, also maximises the scenic views of the beautifully manicured gardens.

Leading Daval retailer, Raycross Interiors, worked very closely with this client, from initial consultation and design concept, right through to when the extension was ready for the kitchen to be installed and project completed.

With a brief to achieve full functionality verbatim, this modern kitchen scheme embraces some of the latest appliances by Siemens including two single ovens, a warming drawer, an integral induction hob and extractor as part of the island unit and a built-in microwave. For the height of utility, the all-important Caple Wine Cooler and high performance Quooker Hot Tap are located next to the deep Franke Belfast Ceramic Sink.

“We love our beautiful kitchen and would highly recommend Graham and his whole team to anyone thinking of renovating. A reputation of good quality and excellent service was what attracted us to Raycross in the first place and that is exactly what was delivered. We were so impressed that Graham kept his word with timings throughout the entire project and got back to us promptly whenever we needed something. He specialises in paying close attention to detail at every stage, and visited us early on during our building work to ensure that our builders were preparing properly for him. It has been such a positive experience to see our kitchen transform. A huge thank you for all your hard work and vision” – Mr and Mrs N, West Byfleet

Graham Cross, Designer, Raycross Interiors says “We have provided our clients with high quality products together with outstanding customer service, and whilst trends in décor have changed over the years, our determination to give our customers an unrivalled service is testament to the success of our business. Investing in good quality furniture will increase its longevity and ensure you enjoy your new kitchen for many years to come.”

Simon Bodsworth, Managing Director, Daval says “Working with Raycross Interiors has always been an inspiration to us as a manufacturer, able to support a family run business like us which is dedicated to a high level of product design and service. We couldn’t achieve this market saturation without our devoted retail network and we hope with continued R&D, exploration of new materials, techniques and design processes, we will continue to offer Raycross Interiors the ability to furnish interior spaces that are tailor-made to the individual.”
