State-of-the-art, luxury, panoramic, residential lift now available from industry leading company

THE LATEST in luxury lift design is now available from a leading UK lift company. Lancashire-based Axess 2 has added the state-of-the-art Vuelift panoramic glass home elevator to its growing list of quality products. The striking panoramic lift has been used by architects and designers as a centrepiece in homes around the world.

Axess 2, which is based in Clitheroe, is one of only a handful of UK companies to offer the Vuelift.

Nathan Massey, from Axess 2, said the company was delighted to add it to its portfolio.

“The Vuelift is designed to take centre-stage in the home. While traditional home lifts are often hidden behind closed doors, the Vuelift is designed to be seen. It provides the convenience of a home lift without compromising on style.”

The Vuelift was designed to provide practical home mobility and ageing-in-place solutions while also adding value and beauty to a property.

“It’s the ideal combination of art and engineering and it deserves to take pride of place in any home,” said Massey.

The stand-alone design of the integrated hoistway does not require the construction of a lift shaft, meaning the Vuelift can be installed into existing residential architecture as part of a renovation project or used as the focus for a new build design.

“The possibilities for home-owners are really exciting,”. “The 360-degree panoramic cab is ideal for making the most of your living space and can be accommodated in different types of properties, and locations within the home.

“It has a minimal footprint which allows it to fit into stairwells or spaces where a standard lift may not be possible, and the powder-coated steel frame can be customised to your home’s décor. The variety of options available provide home-owners with the luxury of a bespoke installation as part of a standard product.”

The Vuelift is driven by an energy-efficient winding drum drive train system which uses two aircraft cables for a smooth ride. There are six models available, including Round, Octagonal and the new Vuelift Mini. The lifts can travel up to 16.7m with as many as six stops while offering a capacity ranging from 227kg to 341kg. Depending on the model, the panels are made from either ultra-strong clear acrylic or low-iron silica glass. These premium panels exceed safety requirements and ensure ultimate clarity for home-owners.

Axess 2 credits the simplicity of the design for a straight-forward installation process.

“The Vuelift can be installed with no mess and no fuss,” he said. “Its components fit easily through standard door openings, down narrow hallways and up stairways with no special lifting equipment required, which make it an ideal choice to retrofit in a home, or to install in a penthouse or villa.”

While a small pit between 102 and 305mm is recommended, the Vuelift can be installed without a pit, with a small ramp or short step into the lift at the lower level.
