Wallpaper and Paint • Made for Each Other

For nearly eight decades, Graham & Brown have inspired people to think differently about their walls through continuous innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship. Undeniably famous for wallpaper, we have developed our paint range to partner perfectly with our wallpaper patterns.

Our objective is to make it easier for our interior-loving customers to find the perfect match for their projects, that’s why our premium wallpapers and paints are partnered up at the design stage and not forced together at the end.

Artworks are lovingly hand-drawn or hand-painted in our studio by a team of multi-talented surface pattern artists. These artworks can take several days to create, and every creation is carefully archived so it can be drawn upon as inspiration in the future. Completed artworks are then digitised and separated into layers that allow for recolours based on extensive trend forecasting by our stylists, before moving to the proofing stage.

With said wallpaper proof in hand, four co-ordinating paint colours are selected, which encompass true colour matches to accents and backdrop colours, as well as contrast colours expertly selected by our trend specialists and stylists. If the perfect partner does not exist in our extended range of over 400 colours, a new shade will be developed and produced alongside the wallpaper. The most important thing to us is that our customers are able to shop wallpaper and paint that is truly made for each other.

Each year, Graham & Brown launches a Wallpaper of the Year and Colour of the Year. Drawing upon seventy-five years of design and manufacture experience in the field, the in-house design studio identifies key movements in the interiors sector and forecasts the future trends that will shape the Graham & Brown collections for the coming months.

Full of movement, colour, and exuberance, Timepiece was announced as Wallpaper of the Year 2021, marking the start of the 75th Anniversary celebrations which will run throughout the year. Piecing together fragments of the Graham & Brown archive, it is an amalgamation of prints dating from 1946 to the present day. The result is a bold, innovative wallpaper that stands to represent the essence of the Graham & Brown design philosophy.

Complementing the Timepiece wallpaper design is our Colour of the Year 2021: Epoch. A directional shade of plum, Epoch pinpoints the richest purple tone in the Timepiece wallpaper and amplifies it, channelling the revelry, regality, and luxury associated with the shade. A calming, cocooning tone, Epoch echoes a wider interiors trends which looks to create restful spaces for healthier, happier homes.

Along with Epoch, other partnering shades for Timepiece include Spiced Mulberry, Fondue, and Whale Tail.

Our extensive range of wallpapers are produced on a variety of sustainably sourced papers using stunning, quality printing methods. Each technique is meticulously selected to suit the look and feel of each design. Our collection ranges from damasks embellished with flock to artisanal florals on a matt craft-like paper. All Graham & Brown papers are paste the wall, making it easier than ever to give your room a new look as often as you like.

Matching paint colours are available in various luxurious finishes, including Durable Matt Emulsion, Eggshell and Gloss. One of our particularly special finishes is our Resistance Ultra Durable Matt Emulsion, which has an ultra-low 1% sheen level and is moisture repellent to reduce dirt build up. What makes our Resistance paint so exceptional however is its Class 1 Wet Scrub Resistance, which means it will stay permanently matt even after cleaning. This makes it perfect for use throughout your home, including kitchens and bathrooms, and high traffic areas such as hallways and children’s bedrooms.

All Graham & Brown paints are water-based, low odour, and ultra-low in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). High levels of VOCs can be harmful to both the environment and to you by breathing them in, so keeping these low helps us all to breathe a little easier! Our paint is also breathable, which means it allows moisture to easily flow through the surface to reduce condensation, mould and mildew, and ensure a perfect lasting finish.

We are proud of being a responsible manufacturer and continuously look to improve all aspects of the process. For every tree we use in our paper, three more are planted. We use water based-inks, which are less harmful to the environment. Our manufacturing is accredited with ISO14001 meaning we are ‘low-risk’ to the environment.
