With the ever-increasing market demands for more robust and flexible fa\u00e7ade solutions, Kawneer has redesigned its best-in-class AA\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>110 Curtain Wall System to feature three innovative enhancements.<\/p>\n

Recognised as an industry leading architectural curtain wall system, Kawneer\u2019s AA\u00ae<\/sup>110, in both capped and SSG (Structural Silicone Glazed) variants, has been used on many prestigious commercial developments throughout the UK and also across Europe. Kawneer has just launched a series of enhancements for the SSG variant, which now offers a market leading expansion joint that allows for a +\/- 5mm building movement tolerance, a higher weight capacity and also a concealed vent option.<\/p>\n

To help withstand higher tolerances for building movement, a new market-leading expansion joint is capable of +\/- 5mm in the SSG solution, which now compliments the capped option which allows \u00a0for a +\/- 15mm of vertical building movement. Both of these building movement joints are market leading with CWCT Sequence B Test accreditation.<\/p>\n

Contemporary building design also demands larger panes, heavier specifications of glass, unobstructed views and increased natural light. The AA\u00ae<\/sup>110 SSG 65mm system with its deeper glazing rebate, enables the fa\u00e7ade to support floor to ceiling glazing, with heavier glass that can also withstand high levels of building movement.<\/p>\n

Architects demanding a clean flush finish to the exterior facade can also select a \u2018Concealed Vent\u2019 option, which allows the AA\u00ae<\/sup>110 SSG curtain wall system to be installed with no obvious external indication of the vent location, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the fa\u00e7ade. Available in top hung and parallel opening formats, and both featuring either manual or motorised operation.<\/p>\n

Suitable for vertical and sloped applications, the AA\u00ae<\/sup>110 also offers a range of construction methods, including zone-drainage and mullion-drainage. Fully accredited to CWCT Sequence B Testing the system has been rigorously verified to perform in all UK climatic conditions.<\/p>\n
