Pictorial Meadows\u2122 seeds and turf mixes comprise a diversity of over 100 varieties and 100% flowers, which provides considerable climate resilience. The plants originate from a wide geographical area and whilst many are UK natives, the inclusion of wildflowers from diverse climatic conditions extends meadow resilience to increasingly extreme weather. We have seen our meadows thrive without irrigation in increasingly hot and dry summers. Having been tested in cooler damper winters of Northern England, they also thrive across Scotland and as far north as Finland.\u00a0Pictorial Meadows\u2122 also offer a tailormade service, where a seed or turf mix can be created and adapted for a specific project.<\/p>\n
A continuing relationship with the University\u2019s Landscape department results in the integration of former students into the growing Green Estate team. This collaboration has enabled hybrid schemes such as the \u2018Stitch Planting\u2019 concept showcased as part of the Olympic Park design, and Sheffield\u2019s \u2018Grey to Green\u2019 planted urban meadows, to be used commercially.<\/p>\n
