Fresh from winning the national RAC Cooling Award, Contractor of the Year, the company\u2019s launch of their new packaged air and water cooled fluid chillers will bring huge benefits to users of commercial chiller technology in terms of energy use, efficiency and environmental impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Offering zero global warming potential and a significant reduction in energy consumption, hydrocarbon chillers will provide a future-proof solution to a wide range of industries.<\/p>\n
Hydrocarbon chillers use the natural HC refrigerant R1270 which, with a global warming potential of only 3, is not affected by proposed phase-out\u2019s under European F-Gas regulations.<\/p>\n
For refrigeration applications a secondary refrigerant, Hycool\u00ae, is used. This is a mixture of potassium and water which is environmentally friendly, biodegradable and food safe. In addition, it has very low viscosity which can reduce energy costs by up to 15% when compared to Glycol.<\/p>\n
Hydrocarbon chillers offer capacities of between 10 and 600 kW in a range of flow temperatures, making it ideal for all process cooling and air conditioning applications.\u00a0 Within refrigeration applications Hycool\u00ae\/hydrocarbon chillers can provide up to 125 kW refrigeration capacity with a Hycool\u00ae supply temperature of -31\u00b0C.\u00a0 This makes it ideal for freezer cold stores operating at -22\u00b0C.<\/p>\n
The chiller units are fully weather-proof and can be sited outdoors in temperatures between -20\u00b0C and +40\u00b0C.\u00a0\u00a0 All chillers come with a 2 year warranty and are fully tested and factory certified.<\/p>\n
Heat recovery is an option provided by the manufacturer, reclaiming heat from the refrigeration process and using it for a multitude of applications including low temperature under floor heating or high temperature washing down water.<\/p>\n
The packaged solutions have the added benefit of reduced on-site installation time.\u00a0 All units include controls and electrics, a built-in hydronic kit and inverter drive circulation pump(s).\u00a0 The units are simply connected to the power supply and flow\/return pipes on the process side and they are ready for use.<\/p>\n
Options for the chillers include fully Stainless Steel construction for Hycool\u00ae use, built in twin circulating inverter pumps or external pump stations, along with remote internet based controller access, a pump energy optimisation system, twin condenser panels and the latest hydrocarbon refrigerant safety packages. Adcock can supply the chillers tailored to specification as part of complete design and build project.<\/p>\n
