The recent storms where a month\u2019s rain falls in less than a few hours are creating major problems for large warehouses. Dr. Robert Perryment, the CEO of Distribution Hygiene Services Limited (DHS), has created a high level team that are trained to work safely at
\nheight in order to ensure that the gutters and drainage systems are fit for purpose in order to prevent water ingress into these buildings.<\/p>\n
Dr Perryment says \u201cGutters really need to be inspected and cleaned at least twice a year. Unfortunately, quite often, roof areas are not visited until a problem occurs.<\/p>\n
On this site, the gutter system had degraded and leaks were about to become a major problem. Whole roof areas cannot be removed to replace the gutter systems without major disruption to the operational requirements of the distribution centre and \u2018quick fix\u2019 plastic paint just isn\u2019t
\nan effective answer in the long term. However, we did have an answer to the problem.<\/p>\n
