EOS Facades are delighted to announce that they have been selected as finalists of not one, but three East Midlands Celebrating Construction Awards. EOS have been shortlisted for the following categories – \u2018Innovation Award’, \u2018Value Award’ and \u2018BIM Project of the Year’ for their contribution to \u2018The Barn, University of Nottingham.’<\/p>\n
The Barn was created in response to the University of Nottingham’s 2008 masterplan for the 100-acre Sutton Bonington campus – to establish a new amenities building which would unite the previously separate student and staff facilities so that are accessible under one roof, improving the user’s experience.<\/p>\n
EOS Facades were appointed as the steel framing systems (SFS) supplier for the project – this included a comprehensive design package and the manufacture and supply SFS.<\/p>\n
Throughout the project, EOS Facades took every step possible to innovate and add real value. They significantly reduced programme times through offsite manufacturing, ensured the block was value-engineered from blockwork to steel framing systems and ensured the frame was weather-tight to allow for follow on trades to move onto site faster. EOS worked with the project delivery team throughout the process to ensure The Barn was delivered to the highest standard.<\/p>\n

The Barn is an outstanding new addition to our Sutton Bonington Campus. The inaugural East Midlands Awards will be taking place at the Nottingham Belfry on the 19th June 2015 where the industry will come together to celebrate the best of the East Midlands region.<\/p>\n
