The floor is composed of various layers: a textured top layer that is jacquard-woven with strong vinyl yarns that are coloured in the mass, a reinforcement layer of glass fibre for dimensional stability, and a felt acoustic underlayer.

The floors use renewable, plant-based materials, such as bio-based vinyl, to not deplete or pollute the richness of the planet. Additionally, recycled content is increasingly integrated. The floors are 100% recyclable. The brand has built its own, in-house recycling facility.

Collections that connect with nature – 2TEC2 Patterns and colours are mostly based on the principle of biophilic design. They bring nature into the inside. Designs take for instance inspiration from the lines of layers of rocks and earth, large palm leaves or the rhythm of sand heaps in a desert.
Bio-based woven flooring – 2TEC2 focuses on creating floors using renewable materials. The bio-based PVC used is based on plant-based raw materials.
Certifications and transparency documents – As proof of excellence, 2TEC2 complies with a series of respected international standards and labels, and publishes performances in terms of environmental impact in all transparency: Class 33 Commercial Use, M1, Floorscore, Eurofins, Indoor Air Quality Gold, Sundahus, TÜV- OK bio-based. The PVC formula used is free from phthalates, PFAS and heavy metals. A third-party published EPD is available.
