Barrier Components Ltd was founded in 1987 within sight of the Thames Barrier, from which we took our name. We started by promoting a range of Industrial Sliding Door Hardware from Helaform of Finland, together with Steel Gate Hardware from FAC of Italy, and then went on to develop an extensive range which includes Locinox Gate Locks from Belgium. Our product offering continued to evolve as we introduced an extensive range of Frameless Glass Hardware from GCC in Taiwan, with whom we continue to work. More recently we have developed a formidable offer of Sliding Door Hardware for both Composite, Framed and Frameless Glass Doors from various sources around the world, in addition to Structural Glass Systems from Sadev in France.

Our experience with Structural Glass Systems led to the development of a new range of Frameless Glass Balustrade Fittings, again manufactured by Sadev, that has grown into a significant part of our product portfolio which we continue to enhance with the introduction of:

The New OSF Balustrade Profile

• This product is a smaller, more cost-effective alternative to similar systems currently on the market.
• One of the main features OSF offers is single-side clamping of the glass as standard, reducing both fixing time and the need to have access from both sides of the glass.
• At just 55mm wide and suitable for glass thicknesses between 12mm and 22mm, it has been tested and achieved a rating of .74kN. It is available in base-fix and recess-fix variants.
• This channel is supplied with a natural anodised finish.
