CCF REINVENTS THE MERCHANT MODEL AT NEW NORTHAMPTON BRANCH

CCF, the leading insulation and interior building products distributor, has unveiled an original format at its new Northampton branch that reinvents the traditional merchant model. By putting the customer at the centre of the design, with an emphasis on unrivalled product choice, availability, and expert ‘know-how’, the team is delivering an even higher quality and more efficient experience.

The purpose-built trade counter, which is manned by a 14-strong team, has a bespoke design to make it easy for time-pressed customers to get in and out of the branch, with everything they need, as quickly as possible.

The new branch format is backed by a 40,000 sq ft warehouse, installed with high-rise racking that has increased product availability by 30%. Plus, a specially trained team is always on-hand to provide expert ‘know-how’ and product advice whenever it is needed. To complete the package, a specialist fleet of Urban Artic Lorries and 26 tonne ‘Euro 6’ trucks will meet the demand for reliable on-site deliveries.

Steve Quarrington, regional director at CCF, said: “This is a completely new branch so the whole team is excited to be the first offering this customer focussed format. We believe it will truly allow us to set a new industry-standard of customer service.”

“Our focus is on maximising the provision of technical support and making each customer visit as valuable as possible by offering an extended collection of products, including exclusive Tradeline drywall solutions and Sektor glazing and partitioning systems.”
