Lakes Bathrooms launches 10mm shower screens

August 2014 – Shower enclosure specialist Lakes Bathrooms has launched two new 10mm designs as part of its runaway hit, the Coastline Collection.  The most popular designs in its Walk-in range, the Cannes and Nice, are now available in original 8mm and heavier thickness 10mm glass.

As with the whole of the Coastline Collection, the look for the new 10mm designs is confident, sleek, minimalist and contemporary.  The profiles are silicon-free to support the clean lines and Lakes Bathrooms’ stay clean coating, AllClear®, is applied as standard to both sides of the glass.  Cannes is a simple screen that comes in five sizes from 750 to 1200mm wide, plus it offers an optional side panel from 700 to 1000mm wide.  Meanwhile, the sizes for Nice span from 900 to 1200mm, with a bypass panel of 200 to 320mm

Flexible in application, the two metre high screens are designed to fit equally well with low profile tray mounting or in a wet room environment. The new 10mm styles work in alcove, corner or straight wall-mounted situations.  According to Lakes Bathrooms, the walk-in range is designed to look stunning and be straightforward to fit, with discreet profiling providing for a high level of adjustability.

Explaining the addition of the two 10mm designs, managing director of Lakes Bathrooms, Robin Craddock enthused, “We know that consumers are inspired by the freedom and space of walk-in showering and there is a growing trend towards heavier thicknesses in glass, so adding a 10mm option for our two most popular Coastline styles is a decision driven by consumer choice,” he said.  “We also know, from our success with the Coastline Collection, that buyers expect top quality at very competitive prices.  We aim to deliver not only luxury, designer style and quality, but at an affordable price – all backed by our market-leading service and support for the trade.”

Lakes Bathrooms is reported to have a number of new products due for launch during the second half of 2014 and has notably brought a mirrored enclosure range to market in recent months.  Commenting on these developments, Robin Craddock said, “We continue to invest heavily in design and innovation and we’re delighted with the response to date for our new Mirrored range.  In the first two months since release, we have over 700 displays in 400 outlets and further demand to fulfil on demonstration products.  Not only do we seek to introduce major new ranges, but also to continually improve our existing collections and the 10mm screens are a great example of this development.”

Retail prices for the 10mm Walk-in styles in the Coastline Collection start from £349 plus VAT.  The screens are now in stock and shipping on the company’s normal 24-48 hour delivery.
