Luxury and sustainability in the foothills of Marbella’s mountains

Coming soon from the award-winning development company, BRIGHT, is Vista Lago Residences, a new landmark project of 18 individually designed, sustainable villas located on the highest villa plot in the mountainside estate of Real de La Quinta. This 200-hectare residential country club lies in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves mountain range overlooking Marbella.

The setting is unique, with Marbella’s iconic La Concha mountain on one side and the exclusive La Zagaleta Country Club & Golf estate on the other, bordering a UNESCO biosphere reserve and yet just a 15 minute drive from Marbella. One of the architects involved in designing Real de La Quinta, Joseph Ginther, said this about it: “From where we are you can see three countries and two continents…! That’s just an astounding place to be, you don’t find sites like that!”

The jewel in the crown of Real de La Quinta will be one of the largest man-made lakes on the Costa del Sol where water sports such as kayaking and paddle boarding can be enjoyed. There will also be an executive golf course and academy, a chiringuito bar beside the lake, a gourmet restaurant, a small selection of shops, a boutique hotel with spa, an equestrian centre and tennis and padel courts.

Sustainable by design
Building for today without endangering tomorrow is a core principle of all BRIGHT homes and the villas at Vista Lago Residences are no exception. Protection of the natural environment, the use of non-harmful materials, reusing resources and minimising waste are just some of the ecological principles applied in the design and construction process. This sustainable approach ensures that every home, inside and out, is designed in such a way to maximise the health and wellbeing of its occupants. Owners can choose to have organic vegetable plots in their gardens, mini orchards and kitchen herb gardens. With charging points for electric cars, and pollution from light, noise and emissions dramatically reduced, a luxurious yet completely sustainable lifestyle can be fully realised.

But Vista Lago Residences offers a lot more than a five-star lifestyle, sustainable design and breathtaking views. It also offers the priceless commodities of space in abundance and clean air in beautiful natural surroundings. The amenities at Real de La Quinta combined with the facilities of each individual villa – gym, private pool and garden, large terraces, entertainment rooms and offices – mean that owners would never need to leave the resort unless they wanted to. It’s an oasis, a true haven where comfort and quality of life is assured, regardless of what might be going on in the wider world. Facing a lockdown in Vista Lago would not be such a hardship!

The exceptional positional design of Vista Lago Residences allows for views over the lake, La Concha mountain, golf courses, the Spanish coastline to Gibraltar and the continent of Africa beyond, all while sitting in one’s own lounge. The generosity of the individual plots and the carefully thought-out orientation of each villa ensures complete privacy. A combination of custom-designed furniture with world-leading brands, along with a stunning selection of artwork makes a Vista Lago home something to be truly proud of.
