PICKERINGS LIFTS LAUNCHES HEATING & COOLING SERVICES DIVISION

Pickerings Lifts, the UK’s largest independent lift manufacturer, has added a new business stream to its comprehensive portfolio with the introduction of Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services.

Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services, registered with Gas Safe and REFCOM, will specialise in the supply, installation, service and maintenance of a wide range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products. The launch of Heating & Cooling Services will offer Pickerings Lifts’ customers an even wider range of specialist services in essence creating a ‘one stop shop’ for all their service and maintenance requirements.

Commenting on the launch of the new business stream Pickerings Lifts’ customer service director, Lynn Humble, said: “The launch of Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services was a natural progression for the company and will allow us to provide an even better service for our customers. Although the lift and HVAC industries are two totally different disciplines, there are many similarities in the target customer base including the NHS, retail, education, hospitality and leisure. One particularly good example of this synergy is the care home sector where heating, lifts and mobility are all considered to be of the highest priority.”

Initially the core focus of Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services will be within the North West and North Wales regions, however the business has already acquired a number of national contracts and plans are in place for the division to expand its reach across the whole of the UK.

Pickerings Lifts has set itself an ambitious growth target for the Heating & Cooling Services business with the aim of doubling its work force within the next 18 months.

Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services is headed up by operations manager Gareth Chappells who has 15 years’ experience in the HVAC industry.

Gareth said: “As a registered HVAC contractor we are keen to lead the way in delivering high quality products which make a significant contribution to building a sustainable future. Our priorities are delivering service and maintenance regimes which improve economy and performance, reduce downtime and increase the overall lifespan of equipment. We will also strive to ensure that all customers are regularly updated and assisted with their responsibilities to remain compliant with all current regulations and legislation.”

Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services will also provide specialist support to the evolving heat pump market, including the gas fired and renewable source driven absorption heat pump which has ultra-high operating efficiencies of almost 40% more than conventional boilers and a low environmental impact.

Gareth concluded: “Pickerings Lifts Heating & Cooling Services is driven by a team of highly experienced engineers who are true specialists in the HVAC sector. Many contractors only operate in one discipline, however all of our engineers are certified to work across both the heating and cooling sectors offering an average experience level of 17 years within the HVAC industry.”
