Rap Interiors Bring the Outside in at Chartway
These days, office fit out companies like Rap Interiors are finding more and more requests to design interiors with a sustainability theme. One such request came from Chartway Group, an award-wining property developer based in Kent.
As Chartway are becoming more sustainable in their builds, they wanted to project an image of sustainability with a new office reception design. Additionally, the property developer wanted a new boardroom with an executive look where important meetings could take place.
To achieve this, Rap’s interior designers transformed the reception area with a number of new features. These included a bespoke timber reception desk with a Coria 0n guard, a living feature wall with Chartway’s logo burnt into the charred timber, and carpet on the stairs in a green and mottled grey. To continue the sustainability theme and make the reception more hospitable, Rap Interiors also introduced a new waiting area with a slatted walnut backdrop and soft seating.
For the boardroom design, Rap’s design team worked closely with Chartway to achieve the desired look and function of the space. Among the key features was a joined raft ceiling and wall with acoustic properties to enable confidential exchanges with clients and executive team members. The design team also introduced a presentation screen within the wooden slats, comfortable leather sofas, strip lighting, new flooring and a drinks fridge to finish things off!
With the help of Rap Interiors, Chartway now has a visually arresting and welcoming reception area that immediately highlights its sustainable ethos. Furthermore, the introduction of acoustic elements in the boardroom along with a corporate aesthetic make for an ideal location for private discussions. The refurbishment will undoubtedly help Chartway to make a good impression on new clients and improve operations within the company.
