Testing to ensure power continuity

Regular testing to ensure power continuity for peace of mind as well as protecting your site from all types of power failures issues.

Obvious risk are winter power cuts which are hugely disruptive. Power failures will easily damage your equipment caused by sudden drops in supply as well as prolonged outages. When ‘backed up’ by our installed site generators we ensure your business continuity plan operates seamlessly for, hours and even weeks.

Consider the impact of turning up at work and no power?

Fact–

Managers assume that there is already a power continuity plan.Check out, when was the last time that the business continuity action plan was verified and updated? People leave and operations move. You may know who is in charge but who do you contact when they’re not available?

Have you been notified of a power continuity problem?

Our engineering team can help. Give us call on the phone number below

Fact-

Focus on the day to day operation.

Rather than just focusing on the day to day operations, update your service and maintenance records and then keep them updated. The single most common power issue is due to the lack of maintenance. No up-to-date records and issues arise that could have been pre-empted.
It’s always someone else’s responsibility to keep on top of servicing. Take the time to visit each UPS on site. Check each display. Any warnings? Generators will be outside the building. Check to see if the engine block is warm. Check the fuel level. When was the last time you cleaned the fuel? When was the last time you mains fail tested the generator to prove it can support your building load?

Fact-

Glitches where the power drops suddenly.

You may be in control of the power but what about the other sites in your group? Who monitors the quality of the power on each site? If another site loses power what will be the impact across the group? Something as simple as the goods lifts lose power then no one can access the floors. No goods going out today.

Portals- No power to Goods Portals then no trucks are loaded today. Continuous power policy is critical to ensure that all parts of your power continuity plan are available and ready for action in the event of a power failure. Glitches where the power drops suddenly, can be very expensive.

Why do you need to ensure correct integration?

Fact-

Correct integration is critical to keep your business running.

Winter is the worst time for distribution centres, data centres, warehouses, factories, and large office blocks anywhere in the UK.
The National Grid has already warned everyone that power reduction will happen, including rotating power outages to save electricity.
Have you an action plan?

How much new equipment has been installed within the last 5 years?

Have they all been integrated into the site wide power protection solutions?

Our engineers provide the cabling and installation to keep your mission critical site up and running with or without the GRID.
Better to call is before the winter chill arrives in force and the power drops out.

Dealing with power failure- How?

Fact-

Don’t panic, prepare before the power fails.

TEMPORARY Critical Power Solutions can be installed at site for FOR SHORT AND LONG TERM HIRE.
But nothing replaces the automatic fully installed power protection systems.
These operate within seconds. Your site keeps operating regardless.

When we bring temporary systems to site it can take 4-8 hours before they are temporally installed and turned on. What happens if the whole area is without power? Then everyone wants the same. Better to be prepared.

Automatic standby power fully installed is the best solution

Fact-

Carry out a ‘mains fail’ test to prove your power protect is working.

Power Continuity provides Critical Power Solutions for all mission critical business operations that require absolutely 100% Total NO Break Power uninterruptible power protection solutions, 24 hours a day. Our emergency backup generators provide total site power whenever the GRID fails.

Test to ensure power continuityAll Power Continuity installations are automatically activated in the event of a GRID failure providing seamless emergency power to ensure your operations continue without any power disruption. 100% No Break in power.
