Global Conservatories Gain Easy Orangery Retro-Fits

Synseal’s popular Global conservatory roof, which has been the UK’s best-selling conservatory roof since 2005, can now be enhanced with orangery style retro-fit solutions on both the inside and outside which are good-looking and straightforward to install. With over 4 million existing conservatories currently gracing British homes, many of which will be in need of refurbishment to replace weathered frames and original polycarbonate glazing, there is no doubt that the installed park of conservatories is getting older every day and presents a substantial sales and marketing opportunity.

The new Global retro-fit solutions employ product elements from Synseal’s proven and market-leading hybrid orangery design, Global Summer.

On the outside, a high-strength replacement cast aluminium gutter bracket and discreet top frame horizontal fixing clip are all that is required to enable fitting of the shapely Global Summer decorative aluminium fascia extrusions to enhance the external appearance of a Global conservatory roof. The original PVC-U guttering components can then be put back in-situ, now neatly hidden behind the impressive orangery fascia.

On the inside, a Global Summer full height internal soffit can be fitted to provide a perimeter ceiling detail for that substantial built-in orangery look, incorporating audio speakers or feature downlights as required. This internal design improvement option is easy to fit and will give an existing Global conservatory a new lease of life.

“Global Summer is a winner because it delivers affordable style,” comments Steve Brown, Synseal’s Products & Customer Service Director, “and now existing Global conservatory roof installations can be easily upgraded to include eye-catching elements from our best-selling orangery on either the interior or exterior, or both.”
