The wait for The January Furniture Show, (NEC 24-27 January 2016), is nearly over, it is less than 2 weeks until the doors open. An A list of over 450 UK and International exhibitors are launching 1000s of new designs, new collections and new innovations.

The Show is 25% bigger this year than in 2015 and accompanying the upholstery, cabinet and beds is a Flooring Showcase, a Fabric Pavillion and a lighting section.

The Flooring Showcase in Hall 2, has all the newest innovations in hard and textile flooring. Here high-class British manufacturing can be seen at its best, Axminster, Brockway and Victoria Carpets are bringing new carpet designs in a range of colours and textures.

Edel Telenzo will show its new Diversity and Liberty carpets which both have unique construction methods providing either a non-directional woven, or smooth woven look.  In rugs Trinity Creations has a new digitally printed collection while The Plantation Rug Company launched two new on-trend collections featuring cool hues and vibrant colours.

In hard flooring Woodpecker introduce distressed oaks, parquet designs and contemporary grey-washed boards, which will be shown with their extensive solid and engineered wood flooring range.

For all things soft, see the colourful, crisp and sumptuous display of fabrics in the Fabric Pavilion in Hall 1.  Here well known brands like Swaffer, Kobe, Barker & Barker and Essente will show new weaves and designs in florals, stripes, checks, abstracts, plaids and jacquards among others.

Kobe has over 700 fabrics in its portfolio featuring a wide array of textures and colours, Barker & Barker known for beautiful fabrics for both commercial and domestic settings, introduce the Dierama collection which is made up of delicate woven designs based on an oriental theme.  Swaffer’s elegant and beautiful new floral collections in fresh summery, or soft greys are proving hugely popular.

Fabrics of a different style come from Titley & Marr, who are famed for producing designs inspired by traditional techniques, particularly woodblock printing, will debut their Kalamkari print collection.  The Isle Mill’s classic wool designs woven in Scotland feature contemporary and textured plains alongside plaids and intricate jacquard designs.

New for 2016 is the lighting section. Major brands including Dar Lighting, CIMC, Westlite and Red Mud among others, will show new designs reflecting the current trends for edgy industrial, floral and the country retreat.  Also on show will be more traditional and classic lighting and lamps featuring ceramics, high-shine and matt metals, coloured and cut glass

The January Furniture Show is the most comprehensive interiors trade show in the UK.  This show has it all – upholstery, cabinet, beds, flooring, fabrics, lighting, soft furnishings, mirrors, pictures and decorative accessories.
